SONOMA, Calif. - Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill.) finished third in GTA in today's running of the Pirelli World Challenge Series (PWC) race run at Sonoma Raceway this afternoon. Teammate Gunnar Jeannette (Salt Lake City, Utah) had a tough 50-minutes of racing and was classified in 21st in GT.

AUSTIN, Texas - Alex Job Racing teammates Alex Riberas (Spain) and Mario Farnbacher (Germany) finished seventh in the GTD class in the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship Lone Star Le Mans at the Circuit of The Americas today.

Cooper MacNeil and Gunner Jeannette will race both in the Pirelli World Challenge Series (PWC) at Sonoma Raceway this weekend. MacNeil will drive the No. 79 WeatherTech Racing Porsche in the PWC GTA Class. Jeannette will drive the No. 97 WeatherTech® Racing Porsche in the GT category. Two 50-minute sprints races in the WeatherTech Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R’s will be a different format for the drivers. They are used to lengthy endurance races, but MacNeil and Jeanette are ready for the challenge and are ready to go sprint racing!

0901 s1TAVARES, Fla. - Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill.) and Gunnar Jeannette (Salt Lake City, Utah) will drive WeatherTech Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R's in the final two rounds of the Pirelli World Challenge Series (PWC) to run at Sonoma Raceway, September 16-18 and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, October 7-9.

MacNeil will drive the No. 79 WeatherTech Racing Porsche in the PWC GTA Class. Jeannette will drive the No. 97 WeatherTech Racing Porsche in the GT category. In addition to running the three remaining 50-minute sprint races, two at Sonoma and one at Laguna Seca, the duo will share a seat for the PWC SprintX race at Laguna Seca as well.

"I'm excited to run PWC for the last two races at Sonoma and Laguna Seca," MacNeil said. "I have done a lot of races with SCCA, but never on the SCCA Pro Racing side. It will be a different format with the race being a sprint format instead of the endurance length I am used to doing. I have only been to Sonoma once before, back in 2011 running Ferrari Challenge, but I was on the podium both races. We are going to try hard to get back up there this time with a Porsche! The GTA class has been close all year. Some of my main competition will be an old teammate Mike Schein. We used to race Porsche Cup back in 2011 and we had some close races together. It should be fun to get back out there with him and see how we fair."

TAVARES, Fla. - WeatherTech Racing will not participate in the remainder of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.

"We have decided to withdrawal the No. 22 WeatherTech Racing Porsche for the remainder of the IMSA season," Alex Job, team owner, said. "The decision to stop racing was rooted purely on performance and the future prospects for the Porsche at the remaining tracks on the 2016 schedule. The conclusion was based upon the performance in direct comparison to the competition over the past eight GTD races and the possible variations of how the BOP (balance of performance) could playout over the next three races with our engineering team and IMSA."

0806 s1ELHART LAKE, Wis. - The Heart of Racing driversMario Farnbacher (Germany) and Alex Riberas (Spain) will start from pole position for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Continental Tire Road Race Showcase to run at Road America tomorrow afternoon.

Riberas took the No. 23 The Heart Racing Porsche out on the four-mile, 14-turn Road America circuit for qualifying. On his third flying lap he posted a time of 2:07.520 that was good for the pole position in GTD for tomorrow's 4 p.m. ET race start. The pole is the team's fourth of the year in GTD.

"I am very happy to be able to get the pole position for The Heart of Racing Porsche team today," Riberas said. "The team is doing a great job with the car. In practice we were struggling, the team was able to make some adjustments and the car is running fast. We will start first and we will be looking to finish that way as well in the race."

Sven Müller TAVARES, Fla. - Sven Müller (Germany) will be joining the WeatherTech Racing team and driver Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill.) for this weekend's IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Continental Tire Road Race Showcase to be run at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin this weekend, August 5-7.

Sven Müller
Müller is a Porsche Junior Driver who is leading the points in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany series'. So far this year he has won 10 of 12 races in Carrera Cup and three of six in Supercup. In 2015 he finished second in Supercup with four wins and was Rookie of the Year in Carrera Cup Germany in 2014. He made his first IMSA start at the Rolex 24 Hour at Daytona in January where he competed with Frikadelli Racing (12th in GTD).

"It is going to be a real pleasure to drive with Alex Job Racing," Müller said. "I already know Mario Farnbacher and Alex Riberas from racing in Europe. To have a good strong teammate like Cooper makes this weekend even more interesting. I have been learning the Road America circuit on the simulator and I am looking forward to driving it tomorrow."
