  • Alex Job Racing Audi R8 LMS finishes sixth in GTD at Petit Le Mans

    BRASELTON, Ga. - Alex Job Racing drivers Bill Sweedler (Westport, Conn.), Townsend Bell (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) and Frankie Montecalvo (Highlands, N.J.), finished sixth in the GTD class in today's IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship Motul Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta.

    Bell started 13th on the GTD grid and had the No. 23 Alex Job Racing Audi R8 in the top-10 just eight laps into the 10-hour race. He kept it in the top-10 before handing it over to Sweedler, who also kept it in the top 10 during his first stint before turning it over to Montecalvo on lap 88.

  • Alex Job Racing Audi R8 LMS to Start Petit Le Mans 13th

    BRASELTON, Ga., - Alex Job Racing drivers Bill Sweedler (Westport, Conn.) Townsend Bell (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) and Frankie Montecalvo (Highland, N.J.) will start the 20th running of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Motul Petit Le Mans from the seventh row at Road Atlanta tomorrow.

    Bell had the wheel of the No. 23 Alex Job Racing Audi R8 LMS for the 15-minute qualifying session around the 2.5-mile, 12-turn circuit. The driver from California posted a lap of 1:21.648 on his fifth lap of the session. The team has been dialing in the Audi R8 LMS to a very warm track, temperatures at qualifying time were in the mid-80s. The team will take the start at 11:05 a.m. ET from the 13th position on the GTD grid.

  • Alex Job Racing's Landy finishes fifth at Road Atlanta

    BRASELTON, Ga. - Sebastian Landy (Great Falls, Va.) finished fifth in both Platinum Cup IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge races at Road Atlanta, as part of this weekend's Motul Petit Le Mans to close out the season.

    In the first race, Landy started seventh in the Alex Job Racing prepared No. 49 Forto Strong Coffee Porsche 991. A couple laps into the race, he was up to fifth and running with the lead pack before the race went full course caution for a car that was stopped on track due to a fire in the cockpit. Landy avoided making contact with the stopped car, but went off track to do so and knocked the front splitter off the car in the process. He was fifth when the race returned to green and that's where he finished.

    TAVARES, Fla., - Alex Job Racing drivers Bill Sweedler (Westport, Conn.) Townsend Bell (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) and Frankie Montecalvo (Highland, N.J.) are ready for 20th running of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Motul Petit Le Mans, October 4-7 at Road Atlanta.

    The Alex Job led team took the opportunity to test at Road Atlanta in September to improve their chances for a strong run at the 20th anniversary of the endurance classic founded by Dan Panoz in 1997. Sweedler and Bell had a solid finish of eighth at Lime Rock in July, but the trio are looking for a stronger run this weekend at the 2.5-mile, 12-turn track located 45-minutes north of Atlanta. Running just five events this season the trio are looking to close out the season with a podium run.

    TAVARES, Fla., (October 2, 2017) - Sebastian Landy (Great Falls, Va.) is looking to close out the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama season on a high-note this weekend at Road Atlanta.

    Landy comes into the weekend fourth in points on strength of two wins at Virginia International Raceway and podiums at Road America. The young driver has a lot of racing laps at the 2.54-mile, 12-turn track located northeast of Atlanta. He wants to give the Alex Job Racing prepared No. 49 Forto Coffee Porsche a strong run in the final race of the 2017 season and move up to third in season ending standings.

  • Sebastian Landy Seventh and Eighth at Sonoma Raceway in IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup

    SONOMA, Calif. - Sebastian Landy (Great Falls, Va.) had a mixed weekend his first time racing at Sonoma Raceway with finishes of seventh and eighth (in class) at the penultimate round of the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama.

    On Saturday morning Landy posted a qualifying time of 1:37.019 that had him starting on the fourth row for Saturday's race one in seventh. At the drop of the green he was able to move up a position in the early going. At quarter race distance he was side-by-side with the No. 3 Porsche of Trenton Estep when Landy was forced off into the grass in Turn 5. He was able to gather the No. 49 Forto Coffee Porsche back-up and finished race one in seventh.

    TAVARES, Fla. - Sebastian Landy (Great Falls, Va.) is coming off of double race wins at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) three weeks ago and is looking to keep the string of top performances going as he heads to Sonoma Raceway for the penultimate round of the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama.

    Landy is currently fourth in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge standings. The young driver will be running at the 2.5-mile, 12-turn rolling road course located at the gateway to wine country for the first time.

    ELKHART LAKE, Wis. - Sebastian Landy (Great Falls, Va.) earned his first two career Platinum Cup podium finishes in IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge competition at Road America, as part of this weekend's Continental Tire Road Race Showcase.

    The IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge had three races this weekend. The first (Friday) was a rescheduled race from the event that was abandoned earlier this season at Watkins Glen International Raceway. That race was followed by the two regularly scheduled races one each Saturday and Sunday.

    The series is coming off of a tough weekend at Watkins Glen where the second race was stopped due to a large crash in the esses. Road America is a driver favorite and Landy is excited to get back to racing after more than a month off.

    LAKEVILLE, Ct., - Alex Job Racing drivers Bill Sweedler (Westport, Conn.) and Townsend Bell (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) drove to an eighth place finish in today's running of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park.

    After a tough day of practice and qualifying yesterday the team and drivers came together and put in a solid run to come home in eighth. Sweedler had the wheel of the silver Audi R8 LMS at the start and turned the car over to Bell toward the front. Bell rejoined the race as the pit stops cycled through in ninth. Just under two-hours into the race, Bell had to serve a drive-thru penalty for contact on the track. He rejoined and was able to make a couple of moves in the last half-hour, keeping the car under him for the eighth place at the checker.

    Under a warm sun, nearly 90-degrees, the track located two-and-a-half hours north of New York City, proved to be tricky when the drivers and AJR crew were setting up the No. 23 Audi R8 LMS today at Lime Rock Park.

    TAVARES, Fla., - Alex Job Racing drivers Bill Sweedler (Westport, Conn.) and Townsend Bell (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) are heading to Lime Rock Park for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Northeast Grand Prix this weekend, July 21-22.

    The track located two-and-a-half hours north of New York City, Lime Rock Park is a short circuit measuring just 1.5-miles. The little track in a valley has just seven-turns, comprised of six right-handers and one left-hand turn. Lap times for the GTD Class cars will be in the range of 53-seconds. This will have the drivers, crew members and strategists on their toes for two-hours-and-forty minutes on Saturday.

  • Alex Job Racing Audi R8 Finishes 14th in GTD at Watkins Glen

    WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. - Alex Job Racing drivers Bill Sweedler (Westport, Conn.), Townsend Bell (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) and Frankie Montecalvo (Highlands, N.J.), finished 14th in the GTD class in Sunday's IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen.

    Bell started 16th on the GTD grid and his No. 23 Audi R8 LMS ran a nearly flawlessly throughout his first stint. In fact, he had the car in the top 10 just 22 laps into the six hour race. But, no sooner than he got into the top 10, the left rear tire on the No. 23 Audi went flat exiting the Turn 1 curbing. Subsequently, Bell had to limp the car around the 3.4-mile, 11-turn road course back to pit lane. This put the team two laps down with a little more than five hours remaining.

    WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. - It was a tough couple of days for Sebastian Landy (Great Falls, Va.) in the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge races at Watkins Glen International.

    Landy qualified 12th in the No.49 Porsche 997 GT for Friday's first race of the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen weekend. But, two laps into that race, nine cars were involved in a multiple car accident that brought out the red flag. The good news was Landy avoided being involved in the incident and made it through the wreckage unscathed.

    WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. - Alex Job Racing drivers Bill Sweedler (Westport, Conn.), Townsend Bell (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) and Frankie Montecalvo (Highlands, N.J.), will start from the eighth row on the GTD grid for this weekend's IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen.

    Bell, who is coming off a third place class finish at Le Mans a two-weeks ago, had the controls of the No. 23 Audi R8 LMS for today's 15-minute GTD qualifying session. Unfortunately, Bell's session did not last long. Three laps into it, IMSA gave the No. 23 Audi a black flag. Corner workers reporting seeing a fire in the rear of the car. As a result, Bell brought the car to pit lane where the crew discovered a significant gearbox issue that ended the team's qualifying session. Bell will start from the eighth row as a result of his 1:50.647 qualifying time.

    Sweedler and Bell are coming off of a third place run in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The duo want to carry that momentum forward this weekend at The Glen. Teammate Frankie Montecalvo has been keeping his competitive edge sharp as well since Sebring running in the Pirelli World Challenge Series. In addition to all of the drivers being in race shape the Audi R8 LMS has received favorable balance of performance (BoP) changes since the team last raced at Sebring in March.

    AUSTIN, Texas - Sebastian Landy (Great Falls, Va.) put together two solid races - finishing sixth in race one and fourth in race two - in the No.49 Porsche 911 GT in the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama doubleheader at Circuit of The Americas.

    Landy's weekend did not start the way he wanted it when he qualified eighth for the first of two Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge races. In race one, Landy managed to come out of a couple of first laps incidents unscathed. This helped him advance a few positions. From there, Landy looked for the right opportunity to make a move into the top three. But, a mistake on the last lap saw him drop from fourth to sixth.

    TAVARES, Fla. (April 26, 2017) - Sebastian Landy (Great Falls, Va.) had an up and down two races last weekend in the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama doubleheader at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama.

    He was able to qualify the Alex Job Racing prepared No.49 Porsche 911 GT car in fifth for both races. In race one, he had contact early and recorded a sixth place finish. In race two, in the rain, he was running in the top six when he made a pass and had contact which sent him off the track and relegated him to being classified in 13th.

    Alex Job Racing qualified 15th to start today's once around the clock race. And, they knew from the start, it was going to be an uphill battle to find themselves on the podium. But, with it being a long race, the drivers and crew were up for the challenge - and a challenging day it proved to be.

    SEBRING, Fla. - Sebastian Landy (Great Falls, Va.) had a successful first weekend with Alex Job Racing driving the No.49 Porsche 911 GT in the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama doubleheader at Sebring International Raceway.

    This afternoon, Landy started seventh in the second Porsche GT3 Cup race. He got off to a good start and continued to put down consistent laps that put him in the top five about half way into the 45-minute race. From there, he put constant pressure on the cars in front of him as he was knocking on the door of his first GT3 Platinum cup podium finish of the season. Unfortunately, he simply ran out of time.

    Under sunny skies and temperatures over 70 degrees, Bell was behind the wheel of the No. 23 Audi R8 LMS GT3 for this afternoon's 15 minute GTD qualifying session. Bell turned his fastest lap with 2:02.276 on his seventh circuit around the 3.74-mile, 17 turn. Unfortunately, Bell's top time has the 10-time Sebring-winning Alex Job Racing team starting 15th on the GTD grid.

    Landy is a Porsche standout already, having placed second last year in the Gold category on the strength of  running 16 races, where he amassed 10 wins, 14 podiums and five pole positions to finish the season second in the points standings. The team, under the direction of Alex Job, has won the central Florida classic ten times. The mid-engine Audi R8 LMS is an ideal package for the rough 3.5-mile, 17-turn track located 90 minutes south of Orlando.
